How to easily identify koyo or zf rack? Are they interchangeable?

Rebuild kit worth it? Assuming rack isn't scratched up.

Which steering rack's interchangeable with a 97? I see racks listed 98-04, are b6 (and b7 even benzes) racks interchangeable?

Are 2.8 and 1.8 steering racks interchangeable?

    Facelift vs non-facelift?

Other than the damper is everything same?

Would you happen to know the ratio of each? Also the part numbers?

I've read some here who have used both and didn't feel much of a difference. OR maybe that's the reason why some say their steering is too light while some say too heavy.

I'd prefer to keep my ratio right now, just a bit heavier than most cars I've driven. Not exactly sure which one I have.

So are the B6 and B7 racks interchangeable for us, too? I believe the RS4 has a quicker ratio.

From what I've read, the RS4 rack is the same as the S4 rack. (1BV suspension?)

I could swear my sport rack has a tighter ratio than the regular one. I've never done any scientific tests but it feels quicker than non-sport b5's I've driven.
    Maybe I'm just crazy though.
