Reputable Place for Tint & Wire Install (New Jersey)?

Hey all,

For those in the NJ area, anyone have recommendations for tint install and hardwiring a radar detector and dash cam (yea, I could do it myself...)?

Looking for those who took their S4 there and if the shop has experience with our cars.

+ 1 for Tropic and TOTL in NJ.

Hardwiring a radar detector is probably one of the easiest mods, once you know how to open up the overhead console. I was able to do mine in the parking lot right when I picked up my car (knew what tools I needed beforehand).
I haven't done the dash cam yet, but doesn't look too difficult. Just requires some wiring to go down the A pillar to the fusebox - I don't think you can hardwire this one to the garage opener, or sunroof opener (unless I haven't seen yet).

Ive been going to eurotech for years. They modded my 2013 S5, my current B7 A4, and on thursday I'm bringing them my newly acquired 2012 S4. They can literally do anything and everything you need. Reasonable prices and top notch service. I drive over an hour to get there and its totally worth it.

Been shopping around at all your suggestions...thanks.

I called Tropic Tint and got a quote for $269 to include all 5 windows @ 35%. Seems almost low to me...I've done it out in Ohio at a great shop over there for about $400 (come to think of it that might have been ceramic tint...)

Also, anybody been to Detail Doctor in Shrewsbury, NJ? I might want to make the drive up there.

Thats a price from him. Considering he has quoted about the $300 - $400 range for other cars Ive seen him do. Alot of the local shops around here do the whole car for about $79.99-$99.99. cCant vouch for the quality of the tint or the workmanshipo thou

A few years ago I got a quote from tropic tint. It was $450 I believe to tint my S5 with ceramic. So if you got a quote for $269 its probably just regular film, which theres nothing wrong with. Its just personal preference.

Well at least now I know that my estimate of $400.00 wasnt off the wall. Ceramic tint material is expensive but well worth it imo

I'm planning to go to Tropic (most convenient for me with work and commute) and get 30%. Will report back with details when I do...just need to find an open day in the next couple weeks.

As far as I know, they have a special tint guy who actually comes and does the work in their shop.

Edit: I know Phil is popular here but EuroTech offers detail services as well now along with paint protection, clear bra, etc..

Went to Tropic and got 30% all around. Looks really nice and the shop did a great job. No issues with the 3rd brake light; they cut the tint around it. It took about 2 hours for them to get everything installed.

Highly recommend!
