I bought a 2014 CPO S4 which came with 3 months complimentary SiriusXM after which I got a year's subscription. Sirius is telling us we need to pay $4 a month more for RealTime Traffic, which I thought was always on in ur Audi's. Anyone have more info on that. Thanks

I thought we got 4 years of traffic with Audi Nav, but maybe it's not transferable?

I sure didn't get four years with my '15 S4, but at the same time, I didn't feel the traffic was much help. Waze has helped me avoid accidents and such on my way to/from work many times. That's why I use driving directions with Waze, to alert me. And on another related topic, I didn't extend the Audi network connectivity option. It would have prevented using cellular minutes on my phone while using Internet connected apps, but the cost of service is very expensive per month.

I thought I read the same thing regarding traffic info. I called to cancel Sirius and ended up getting another 6 months for ~$30, so I won't know about the traffic component for a few more months.

I will probably just switch to Spotify for music and Waze (if needed) when Sirius expires.

Just to be sure, call Audi of America and ask them what comes with the car. When I got my 13 S5 it came with 3 months sirius and 4 years live traffic(which I never used anyway). After 3 months, sirius accidentally cancelled my live traffic even though I had already renewed my satellite music service. I called them and told them my car came with 4 years traffic and after it being escalated to a supervisor, and a phone call back a couple days, they made the adjustment.

According to audiusa.com at least the Prestige trim still comes with a complementary 4-year traffic subscription. I don't know if the optional Technology package on the P+ includes it as well. However, the subscriptions stay with the original owner's Sirius account. Once they remove the receiver from their account, you'll have to get your own subscription. The trials don't transfer. I'm wondering how you even got the 3-months SiriusXM Radio trial.

SiriusXM traffic is pretty good and mostly accurate where I live. Just the other day it took me around a massive backup and did so on other occasions whenever there's actually a better alternative route.

Go to your cell provider and pick up a data plan for 10 bucks and stick the SIM card in and you will have Audi connect without paying the ridiculous $600 premium.

I still have traffic past the 3 month sirius trial on my 16' P+ tech. I was thinking that it was a mistake.
