Is it a little too much?

Added the RS4 grill and Stvbek front lip and plasti-dip'd the emblem. Like the way it turned out but wife doesn't. Haven't seen too many red emblems out there so I just wanted to be different. What do you all think?

haha! I got the push notification for the thread and was going to immediately reply with "it's never too much", but actually in this case it might be just a bit too much lol.

maybe just make the 2nd or 3rd ring red and the rest normal?

Personally the chrome throws it off. My eyes are drawn to it. I think if the grill was all gloss black then the red would sit really nice.

I like it though, it's different

I think with the black looks better. It would look sick with matching red rims. Also what about back rings?

I think the red or any other color than black just throws it off and makes it like your back being a teenager again and not really sure how to mod a car correctly with indecisiveness. Personally for me I think the RS4 grill with the chrome rings makes it stand out and look more aggressive. But the lip is fine on the B8 bumpers. I think it helps it. I think the lips on the B8.5 bumper are fine but they look goofy with the bumper design.

I think from a distance it would look a bit too much. Hard to tell from a still shot... I typically am not a fan of this sort of mod unless you are blacking it out...

Not so much here. The actual color of the rings is throwing it for me too.

Maybe a little darker red color; I.E. Dip your car's 'Flame red' vs. 'red'

In my personal opinion, the red color of the Audi rings stands out too much, as does the chrome trim. Also, for the front lip, I would like to see it be a bit more prominent/protuberant. I'm still on the fence about adding a front splitter myself, and want something that is actually noticeable, gives the vehicle a more aggressive look, but without being ridiculous looking.

red rings screams boy racer and looks like your trying too hard to get some attention, but if you like it, who gives a f*ck what other people think, you might embarrass your wife though.

Good choice on the lip. I agree with everyone, plastidip the chrome. The red rings are questional, but if you like it then leave it!

^^ this, especially on a car that's $50-$60k / higher end. Keep it subtle.

This is an aesthetic anomaly. As it is it's too much but that's because all of the red is focused on just that one spot. Sometimes less is more but sometimes less is too much.

I think it may actually look better with just a few more very subtle spots of red.

First of all who gives a sh.. About anyone else's opinion. If they aren't paying for your car they can stfu. That being said the wife maybe an exception. ;)

I would do a darker hue.. Little more subtle.. But again it's not my vehicle. And I love that grill!

Haha tough crowd (as usual). But everyone is entitled to their opinion and you asked. Nonetheless, I agree with most people on here. The red is too much. I've seen some rock the chrome and some not, both look good.

At the end of the day it's up to you since you're making the payments. Oh and maybe up to your wife too. LOL

I just installed the lip myself and had to drill holes into the lip to the bumper. How did you install yours?

The lip already had the holes in it.Just had to use the self tapping screws they provided. They said not to put them in the middle just double sided tape but I did anyways. It feels much more secure.

I did plasti-dip the main today but pulled up two little spots unmasking and me being OCD. I just took the rest all off. So with that being done I went to work on the fog grills instead. At least I got something accomplished today.
