    Timing belt question

Quick question about the timing belt. I am in the process of replacing the timing belt and all the other components and I cant find the gates belt for AEB. My question is, Is the AWM and AEB timing belt the same? And is it worth to pay the extra money for a gates belt or should I go with a continental belt?

I had a gates belt on my car when I blew the motor. Everything that screws into the crank sheared, including the timing gear. The timing belt never snapped on me. I bought another gates for the new motor for that fact alone.

Different belt for 06a and 058. There is no Gates racing belt for the 058.

I have a continental belt on my AEB, it's what ECS includes in the ultimate timing belt kit, and many other people run them without issue. Continental should be fine
