RS5 FTG measurements - I'll start

I've seen lots off talk about this but haven't seen a dedicated thread. If would be great to see this with various combinations of springs and suspensions. So I'll start.
Stock RS5 suspension with a full tank of gas on 275/30/20 tires.
Rear: 27"

I just rechecked on flat ground and with a yard stick. 26 1/4 front and 26 3/4 rear.
HR oe
So eibach should me 1/4 higher in front and 1/10 lower in rear.

Jimmy, remember I'm on the DRC suspension which uses pressurised dampers at 19 bar so your ride height may well be lower?

Well it seems like my car is matching HR oe lowering specs for rs5? I did see a pic of members car here that he sold (rs5) on eibach springs. It looked a little higher in the front than my car. I'm waiting for my kit to come in. I did order the b12.

Jimmy, this is taken from A5OC on a discussion on ride height between S5 and RS5:

Not sure where the 30mm spec is coming from. I've owned two S5's and two RS5's ( all pre face lift ) and the RS5 is only 3mm lower. Which is what the brochures say as well. Road to wheel arch is 689mm front and 695mm rear. Wheel size makes almost no difference because tyre aspect ratios differ such that rolling diameter is maintained.

This ties in with my previous ride height and the drop I got with the Eibachs.

So Stock S5 is 27 1/8 f and 27 5/16 r.. Interesting that the RS5 sits a hair lower and has negative rake dialed in stock form vs. the S5.

So a rs5 w eibach springs should be around 1 inch front and around 3/4 rear. Not much of a difference you will see with naked eye

I don't tend to use medieval inches, they serve no purpose in modern life other than to confuse the shit out of people....but yes.

remember the RS is 80kg heavier so will sit a little lower.

Haha, how can the metric system be confusing, it's so simple even I can use it.

But hey, if you mericans are happy and why wouldn't you be, its only 2016 and you're an industrialised modern superpower so using a system of measurement based on a barley corn length makes complete sense....right?

So if 3 barley corns = 1 inch then my car sits 8.85 barley corns high or to make it easy 0.738 yards. Simple

I have a question for all of you who lowered your car. Every since I lowered mine, I noticed this intermittent mechanical thumping sound when I turn the steering wheel all the way left or right. Originally I thought it was the wheel rubbing the fenders but there is no sign of it. It only happens at full lock. Any idea what that might be?

Open the hood and pop off the rubber cover over the upper suspension arms, get Mrs Wifey to turn the wheel lock to lock and see if there's any mechanical contact going on. It may just be the springs moving in the seat or it may be the upper arms contacting the body.

Is there any modification to the stock bumpstops required to use the H&R OE springs on the RS5? Also since I'm not going for the slammed look, what type of wear should I expect over normal on the OEM shocks?
