Hey guys, just looking for some help with clear cornering and joey modding my RS4's headlights. I clear cornered my old C5 but just don't have enough confidence to do this job well. One of the best mods to get done IMO and would really appreciate the help!

Hey man its a lot easier than you think. Take the headlights off and skip the whole oven baking thing. Just pull the little clamps off around the lens (maybe 2 or 3) and hit it with a heatgun while slowly prying it a part with a flat head. You'll come to a point where the lens just kinda gives and will come off. Pop off the orange cap and heat up the adhesive some more until its tacky and then toss it back on and throw the clips on. Do this inside in a dry area to avoid getting any moisture inside the light.

I'm also interested in doing this without fucking up my headlights.

Did you follow a specific set of DIY instuctions, James?

Noah, if you end up trying this, could I try to help out? (So I can learn from the experience)

I did this on my R32 and honestly it's so easy and I even did the oven version. I just put the oven to the lowest setting with the clips off and put it in and checked every 3-5 minutes to see if the tack would give. It literally took maybe 20 minutes to do both head lights. So easy just get past the fear factor and realize the inside of the lens gets hot from the lights that a little heat for a short period will be just fine.

I can set up a clear corner modding party (with beer and pizza!)... now, who's got a garage and a location that a few RS4s can park nearby?

I'd definitely be down to get a few guys together and all do it at once! Also thanks for the advice everyone, maybe i should just go for it one day. Anybody know if you have to take off the front bumper like i had to in my C5? I would think so but who knows.

@torquesteer you local to UW? I think I've seen you driving around a few times.

    its easy peasy.

I just used a heat gun and it came apart like butter, no need to worry with extreme temps or ovens
