Head rebuild question

Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase exhaust valve stems? I currently have a shop rebuilding my heads and have been informed that all of my exhaust valve stems need replaced. According to this shop, these parts are hard to come by. Hoping that is not the case.

I would call IE Performance, Ferrea, or Supertech directly and ask for a part number for your engine code, then google it. IE lists the guides as working for the 1.8t, 2.7t, and 4.2l, but they have different part numbers on ECS Tuning.
