    hey guys,

My car had a Carbon clean and new injectors replaced about 10k km ago. im trying to be proactive with the carbon buildup so i was thinking of seafoaming it.

is there a DIY or anything i should know before i spray the can into the intake?

couldn't find a definitive method to do this on our specific cars.

    Thanks!

That's not gonna do anything to the carbon buildup except maybe temporarily soften it up a little. You would need A LOT to have any decent effect on the buildup.

i know it will not have a great impact on the buildup but its pretty cheap and i wanna take any steps that might have the slightest of effects in between actual carbon cleans.

im really just looking for a method on how to use seafoam and how to spray it properly in our carz

I find the fact that you're asking how to do it to be a good indicator that you shouldn't be doing it. Hope you don't fuck up your car.

I asked the same question for any possibility of preventative care for carbon build up. The shop's answer was no. There is nothing we can do, and a good interval for CC is every 30k miles. Find a good shop that is reasonable, and do em every few years.

i read such mixed reviews about seafoam and other cleaners increasing the time between carbon cleans which made me want to do it even if it made almost no difference (total cost is like $40 CAD for seafoam here)

but yea i got a solid shop whose done tons of carbon cleans on these cars here. im thinking i will wait another 20k km or so before doing the next CC.
