    I've thought about doing mine gunmetal, via autodip. I thought i'd seen someone on here who did black via plastidip.

    the paint WILL chip and it will eventually look terrible. no matter how pro you do it. black rims were cool in like 2001 but not so much anymore

    powder coating should be far more durable

    i agree autodip and such are not long term, but they're great for testing a look as well as changing colors of things frequently if that's your thing.
