Greetings everyone,
Want start off saying that I just bought an Audi coming from a Subaru and glad to be a part of the Audi world. The car I got is a 2010 A4 6speed, The car was bought at an auction, so I have no idea what was done on it as far as what the maintenance goes, etc. The few parts that the eye can see is a a downpipe, testpipe - no cats, and possibly an aftermarket dual side tip exhaust, but it is too quiet for an aftermarket exhaust. The car has a boost gauge, and is way quicker that a stock A4. I am assuming it is tuned, stage 2 or something.
Now on to the concerns.
- Rough intermittent idle. The car shakes and it feels like a misfire, only no check engine light. Shakes even during normal operating temp and ONLY on idle. Vacuum shows 20 to 22 in.-Hg. Thinking that a faulty injector, coil, plug would throw a misfire code, I am thinking that it is either a PCV valve, a bad tune or a fuel delivery problem, but need your guys's opinion.
Additionally, I am dying to see what kind of a tune is on it. Is there a way to find out? I am hoping it has a stage 2 APR or something similar. Also what kind of maintenance would I need to do at 117k miles, considering that I no nothing about what has been done to it in the past.
Other than that, the car is very nice and I am in love with it.
