    Are they the same???

    Pros and cons of each?

Is the "gloss black" the same sheen as the Black Optics package trims?

I have the ECS one now, but am going to be moving to the UPS version because it has the integrated Audi ring holder. The ring holder on the ECS grille is not built in, is kinda flimsy, and is almost impossible to get your rings mounted on w/o breaking tabs.

They both are made in china, and probably by the same manufacturer, buy whichever one is cheapest.

Thats what I wanted to confirm!!!!

Are the USP Rings only available in Chrome? Or does it only have the holder and not the actual rings?

    No...
From a pricing perspective for the B8.5, ECS is 259.95 without rings + free ship, USP is 254.99 and comes with rings + free shipping
For the B8 ECS is 239.95 without rings + free shipping, USP is 191.99 and comes with rings +25ish shipping

    This ^^^

ECS grille is nice aside from the ring holder. OEM rings do not fit tightly or as they should. The grille is a GLOSS black and looks good.

I can't help with UPS version as I am not familiar with it.

I got the ECS with the chrome border for my black '11. it was about $240. True, removing the chrome rings from the OEM grille and reinstalling them on the new grille is fraught with peril but I only broke one tab and it fits nice and snug. The key is to paint the aluminum crash bar (black plastidip worked perfectly) and mount the home link device under the plastic guard over the radiator before you reinstall it. That way it's totally out of site and still functions with the same range IMO. It's great not to have the front license plate as well. Living in CA it's always a risk for a ticket but I haven't been bothered. The crash bar has held up well after several months- no chips or peeling.

I wish USP had the grill with chrome or silver surround.

I've seen the ECS grill and don't really like the badge situation. Integrated is the way to go.

For people with the USP B8.5 grille, are you able to change the rings? I want to install black rings and am not sure if this grille allows you to remove the set that comes installed.

Has anyone tried this one? http://www.amazon.com/facelift-Style...di+a4+rs+grill

It appears to be like neither the ECS, nor the USP version. It has an integrated holder, but has 17 honeycombs. I ordered it a couple of days ago, and am awaiting delivery. Does anyone have installed pictures? Fitment issues? I don't think

I just installed the USP today and i love the gloss black. I was also thrilled to see that it came with the rings!

Now to paint that ugly gray crash bar and figure a way to put my s4 badge on it

So the USP is Gloss black and the ECS is what?

How would you go about painting the rings on the USP is they are integrated?

I bought mine on eBay for 1/2 price from this ebayer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-09-11-Au...8AAOxyWmxSViLC

Fitment was good and it came with Audi rings. I was very happy about the purchase.

IMO, the only one worth buying right now for B8.5, assuming you want all black, is the one sold by RevMotoring. I have not experienced it first hand, but it has integrally molded ring holder, 17 rows of honeycomb, and the ring holder does not stick out very far from the face of the grille. It's also one of the less expensive options at $200 and that includes the rings I believe.
