New B5 S4 Avant Owner - Will I pass CA Smog? - Vagcom Scan

    Greetings,

Just bought my buddys 2001 S4 Avant (pic soon), he's had it since day 1 and taken good care. I'm new to CA and never had to pass smog before (I read it's just OBDII and not roller+sniffer?). When I got the car the CEL was on with following codes:

    17861 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 1 (G235)
    P1453 - 35-00 - Open or Short to Plus
    17867 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236)
    P1459 - 35-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
    16805 - Warm Up Catalyst; Bank 1
    P0421 - 35-10 - Efficiency Below Threshold - Intermittent

I cleared them and drove around for 100 miles, then checked readiness with Vagcom and it all looks good? Is there any other tests I should check with Vagcom? Should I just cross my fingers and go smog? Thanks!

You just have to pass visually and readiness. Based on your above results, you should be golden, good luck.

    Passed!

I cleared the CEL and drove around for 80 miles and it stayed off.
