Gents,
I've recently had a fuel line rupture near my fuel pump and some fuel soakedinto the foam that comprises of the back seat. The foam swelled a bit and i tried to get as much out as possible with paper towels.... a lot of paper towels, but the smell is still pungent. So far the smell hasn't gone away.
Does anyone know of any chemical that i can spray on the foam that will get rid of the fuel smell? Can i just cut away the foam that's been soaked and will if effect butt feel for my passengers? I'd hate to compromise the structure of the seat.
These are Recaro seats, and i'd hate to have cut away foam. The fuel didn't soak enough to touch the alcantara, which i'm grateful for. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks.
