So my car it's one thing after another. Everything on it is basically new now. After about 1k miles of rebuilt cylinder head this happens.

To me that sounds like a exhaust leak, but it is hard to tell from that video.

Can't see the video, but lifter type noise can be worn cam chain tensioners, broken cam chain tensioner pads, worn lifters/cams, or low oil pressure. Pull the valve covers and verify the top end looks good.

Cant see the video? it's public just unlisted.

I guess I could remove the valve cover and just take a look. That's easy enough.

having just replaced lifters and a cam, this sounds nothing like lifter tic, its way to fast. that is unless your idle is way high. mine was a lot louder and sounded like a diesel truck at idle.

If you broke a chain pad, then you need to pull your lower oil pan because the pads shred and clog your oil pump pickup.
And sorry I can't see your video on the internet connection I'm using, nothing to do with how you posted.

Ugh, going through this right now. Mine isn't louder by any means, but sounds kind of like a diesel at idle. Visually everything looks fine. Clacking sound towards the front of the passenger head/middle of the motor. Hoping it's the water pump

Im going with this. Seems like too fast of a rhythm for cams at idle.

Screw the egt or o2 sensor back in
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Sounds exactly like my car when it ate a cct pad, and if you lost a pad, pull your ps timing belt cover and make sure you belt isn't loose, the added drag caused my hydraulic timing belt tensioner to retract and my belt went loose.

I think that's what happened honestly. Is there a DIY on how to do this? Or inspect it? I still need to take the valve cover off.

    Here's the sound on startup.

Do you see the half moon looking tan colored pads on the top amd bottom of the tensioner in this pic? The tan pads break apart (prob from getting old and then to much squeezing with a cct compressor tool) and then the cam chain in the head ends up riding on the metal flat underneath the pad. You hear the noise of each link and roller hitting the metal flat and this makes the high frequency clicking noise that you are hearing.

Thats right up there with dropping 2.8 heads in and not plugging the sai ports

Even the startup vid sounds like an ex leak to me. Check the easy shit first and hope you get lucky.
