Do these brakes and calipers fit?

I got b8 a4 calipers and pads with b7 s4 rotors. The front pads seem to have a detent that sticks out the backing plate. The caliper appears to have a receptacle that is supposed to receive this detent? Yet the detent is much larger than the hole. There's also two small rods facing the rotor on the caliper carrier is that seems to be rubbing against d roller, something's wrong with the setup?

Firstly, how many brake threads are you going to make?
Secondly, you wrote that you picked up B8 A4 calipers. You need B8 S4/5 if you want to use B6/7 S4 rotors.
Thirdly, did you buy B8 A4 or S4/5 pads?

Are you planning to run A4 calipers with S4/5 carriers?

I was going to get the s5 calipers but these were slightly cheaper. I bought b8 A4 pads for the b8 caliper carrier combo. The carrier comes installed on the caliper so I thought I could just bolt it up? I have to have the b8 s5 or s4 caliper to fit the b7 rotors? The a4 wont work?

No. The caliper carrier combo that you bought (B8 A4) is for 320x30mm rotors not 345x30mm (B7 S4). Look at your last picture and tell me if you think that pad coverage on those rotors looks correct...

You need to re-read your original thread. All the info is in there....
