Ok guys, talk me out of this non-sense... I have a '12 6MT, black on black leather, with carbon fiber package, rotor wheels, w/50K miles. Upgrades are: ECS drilled/slotted rotor kit with Hawk pads. Hydraulic clutch slave line and Chipwerke Pro. New Clutch installed 5000 miles ago.
Dillemma: I'm getting an "itch" for a 911 coupe and contemplating sell of the S4. I absolutely love this car, searched for nearly 2 years for this particular color combo, wheels, mileage, history, etc. and found the dream. Since owning I've maintained the shit out of it. scheduled services, Oil changes every 5K miles or less... pampering it. Keeping it means it will last a very long time. This car is the "swiss army knife" of vehicles for me. It does EVERYTHING I need it to do and does it WELL. More importantly, the family can ride safely without worry.
Getting rid of the S4 for a 911 coupe means we don't take the fast, fun car (S4) on long trips, but rather a boring SUV. :(
Stepping into another 911, however, is familiar territory for me and something alluring at the moment. Values are still heading North and is a good time to buy before they reach Ferrari like status. Older coupes are easy and cheap to work on. Tracking lighter weight 911's can be fun and VERY rewarding. I'm just a fanboy of the 911 and have my eyes on a coupe at the moment. Selling the S4 is the only way to get it. The Targa 911 stays.
I have my flamesuit on now, let the burn begin!
