hey guys i spent some time looking but came up with nothing really useful. has anyone on here done a big turbo swap. my goals are around 350 whp. i can probly achive that with a ko4 and supporting mods and a water/meth injections but i will be pushing the turbo to its limits. the gt2871 or even gt3071 seen like decent options. any suggestions. also does anyone make a kit for either of those or any other or will everything have to be custom. thanks

Anytime soon apr is releasing their Stage 3 EFR turbo kit that should be exactly what you're looking for. APR Stage III for the B8 / B8.5? We said it would never happen, but....

For reference: When searching for anything performance related to the A5. Your best bet is to search and hang out in the a4 board. The A5's don't get much love over here. Most of what happens on this board is cosmetic.

As for BT there are several options. They all just come down to how hard you wanna work, and where you wanna fall on the raceability/drivability divergence. The APR EFR seems the most promising in terms of still having some reliability. But if you wanna go full race car, theres a lot of options, as long as you like custom tuning/stand alone.

That for the link to the apr efr thread jjh2oman. ParadigmTony now it makes sense why when I search a5 performance related threads a get tons of a4 stuff and very minimal a5 related stuff. Are the a4 and a5 that close to each other that I should look at the a4 form also.

They are the exact same car, minus 2 doors. A couple other intricacies, but a b8 is a b8, we share the platform code for a reason. Because they are the same.

^ This. I'm always stalking the S4 forum. The 4 doors are much more popular.

How much more "gain" will there be over a 93 octane stage 2?? Right now my car should be putting out around 302hp /343tq on 93 octane according to the apr graphs.... Have intake/turbo back exhaust (hf cat), intercooler, and tune. I would love to increase the power of my 2.0 but spending $3-4k on a 30-40 hp gain would be a bit much.

Based on some preliminary graphs APR posted without numbers and compared them to stock graphs its around 370 HP at the wheels, compared to 252 Stage II at the wheels. So its quite a bit more than a 30-40 hp gain.
