2016 S3 - What did you pay? Open to All

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey fellas,

I am looking to purchase a 2016 S3 in the near future in the Southern California area - hoping to ask what did you guys pay in comparison to MSRP and what year model?

From research, I've seen they are going anywhere from 5-11% under MSRP. I am looking at a Premium + with options that bring it to about $50,075 give or take.

*ALSO - my plan is to possibly wait until the 2017 A4's come out, I know there are alot of S3's on lots right now, and thought dealerships may be more willing to bring down the price on them once the new A4's are out and hot.

I am eager to hear from you guys - what did you pay out the door??? Thanks!

There is a LOT of S3 inventory out there, I just went through this exact thing- didn't end up purchasing- but with discounts/incentives I was at 16% off MSRP.
Don't be afraid to walk away, because someone else will surely give you a deal.

I'm leasing it, if I purchased I could have gotten a larger discount. It was about 16%

Exactly what I'm thinking, and inventory that will probably move slower once the 2017 A4's come out. Did you end up leasing or didn't grab an S3 all together?

Here is what I paid exact. Build was for 2016 Audi S3/Premium Plus/19" Performance Package/S Sport Seats/Monsoon Grey/B and O System/LED package/Tax Free (Additional $ saved). Out the door $46.8k for a ordered S3. You usually get bigger discounts on a vehicle when they have in the inventory. MSRP is $52,162.62.

Didn't do it at all. My S4 is less than a year old and only has 11,XXX miles, it was more of a "going to stage 3 the S3" type of thing. But now that the RS3 has been leaked, I scrapped the idea of the S3.

Any more insight to what you guys paid? The S3 I have my eyes on is ~$50,000. My goal is to throw Audi Care ($1k) in there, and get out the door for $43,000-44,000.. tax included. Thoughts on whether I can do better?

Doesn't the Prestige come with the B&O on all 2016 models? None the less a great price back in August! I am hoping for a better break in a month or two from now.. trying to wait for the 2017 A4's to take some of the attention away.

LED lighting package, Pearl effect paint, 19inch tires, mag ride, red calipers, sharkskin, audi care, technik, trade-in plus taxes and other various fees just a smidgen north of CAD 53K.

Maybe I should have purchased some shares in Alphabet, Walmart and BOA instead - LMAO.

About 2 months ago there were maybe 4-5 2015-16 S3's on ebay total. Now there are like 20+. Should be better deals coming on new S3's.

IMO, right now is a great time to buy one. 2017's will be in production in a few months, new A4's are rolling, new TTS's are rolling, RS3 may be unveiled at Geneva, new S4 will be rolling next year...like I said previously, if they wont do at a minimum of 10% total, I'd try a different dealer. It took me literally 3 emails to get to 16% off. Shoot for 10-15%

That's been the gameplan, wait until the 2017 A4's come out and see how that affects sales. I'm sure they'll be more eager to unload the 2016 S3's by then.

Hope these deep discounts won't have an effect on S3 resale value... I'll be trading her in for a second or third year RS3 saloon ya know!

When the RS3 sedan finally hits US roads we can get cracking on discounting it also!!!

The new M2 looks like a force to be reckoned with.

Went back in forth with a local dealer over the weekend and they were offering me a 2016 Florett Silver Metallic S3 Premium+ with B&O sound, Black Optic, LED, Technology pack for MSRP of $51245.

Discounted down to $45601 for a total out the door of $49520.

Is this a good deal? Seems kind of high to me compared to everyone in this thread?

Are all the prices listed on this thread "BEFORE taxes"?! Or "Total Out The Door WITH Tax"?

When people say out the door I'm always thinking that included tax
