    steering wheel controls

    I have a c6 a6 with steering wheel controls.

I also have a b6 s4 with steering wheel controls.

On my s4, if you scroll the left side steering wheel button, it changes to the next song/station in the list.

On my a6, if you scroll the left side steering wheel button, it brings up the song/station list on the instrument cluster lcd and you have to click the button to select that song/station.

I like the s4 setup much better (scrolling to change song/station with no need to click). However I've played around with vcds and searched and even posed the question before and cannot seem to find a way to eliminate the need to click the steering wheel scroll.

Any ideas on whether or not this is possible and if so how to do it?

As far as I am aware, that is not possible. Click is required to select.

You're asking for a RNS-E feature in an MMI system. Unfortunately, not likely to happen.

just seems so backwards. the whole point in the steering wheel controls should be for ease. I can click the > button on the console and go right to the next song, I can turn the console wheel one time and press it to go to the next song. on the wheel I have to scroll once to activate the menu, once to highlight the next song, and click. its literally the longest required combination to select another song. lol. Oh well. it is what it is I suppose. thanks for the comments guys!
