I have a B5 but ditched the B5's coolant flange/coolant hardline setup in favor of a B6 coolant flange and custom below-manifold hardline setup.

i havent done a coolant flange on my current b6 so i dont know how many miles are on the flange. The first time i did it (this was my first major diy) i said to myself "Why the f would this be plastic and not metal??? haha. That being said i would buy one in case my current b6 decides to take a shit on me.

Do the plastic flanges crack? My understanding is that it's the rubber o-ring that is the cause of majority of the leaks and not the housing itself. I'm sure stronger housing can't hurt though.

The plastic flanges do end up cracking when they fail.

We have B5 AEB/ATW/AUG and 2001 AWM flanges coming but the B6 A4's ditched the flange and have a barb fitting. We can make these but are wanting to gauge interest in having them custom made.

Price would be $75 for the piece. Let us know if this would be something you guys want and we will setup a pre-order and could get them done in about 4-6 weeks.

For the B6 guys who don't know, here's the: Coolant pipe under the intake manifold conversion. (The conversion calls for the B5 guys to toss their coolant flange and add a B6 (barb style) flange in it's place):

Late to the party. These would have been tits years ago. But after most of us already replaced ours (many of us more than once), the selloling crowd is not today what it would have been years ago. But with that being said, potential buyer for the b6 one. Would have more stuff welded onto that for my upper coolant hard line tuck/delete.

What is listed for $49 is the AEB version. In order to get a B6 version , we need to machine the B5 flange to remove the 2 bolt hub and then press in a barb followed by bead welding it all together.
If you want one for a B6 kindly co-ordinate with urotuning
