    Value of used headlights

    Recently replaced my headlights for a set of E-Codes and I'm curious how much the stock headlights in good condition with working ballasts are worth. If they aren't worth all that much I may just work on figuring out how to mount my 45W OSRAM ballasts on it through grinding away some of the plastic. Don't want to do that to the E-Codes unless I'm sure I can do it lol

    My guess would be in the $600 range for a set with full electronics and in very good condition. IMO it's worth hanging onto them. I have my set of US spec headlamps in my basement, bubble wrapped securely in a box, "just in case".

    Thanks SteveYem, I may just hold onto them. It seems like it would be a pain to properly package and ship them out anyways.

    My guess would be someone who wants to do a custom headlight modification that would require their assemblies to be removed from the car for an extended period of time, during which they could not drive the car. Buy a spare set to allow you to keep using the car, and as a backup in case something goes awry during the modification process. Then sell them and try to recoup that money when the process is done.

    Why not just hold onto them. When the time comes when you want to sell your car, return to stock and sell the e-codes. There's a higher probability that someone will want to upgrade to e-codes vs someone wanting to buy your stockers for a homebrew setup.
