I don't think any one has done it. Since you'll need a new trunk, bumper, tail lights, diffuser, and maybe rear quarter panels? Not worth it.

You only need a new trunk only if you want to do the tail lights retrofit (which is not my case, i just want the rear bumper)

Won't fit. The b8.5 is totally different. The only think that will work is a sline-s4 rear bumper.

    Hi guys,

Talking with Avant experience instead, but it will fit for sure. I recently changed from pre-facelift B8 stock rear bumper to facelift B8.5 S-line rear bumper.
All the mounts are exactly identical, so it's a direct swap without any difficulties whatsoever.

(I combined it with an exhaust swap)

    Before-After
    A4 B8 Avant
    Updates: Stage I | Eibach Pro Kit | Mandrus Millenium 19" | 034 Motorsport Turbo Intake Hose | AfE Pro Dry S | Nissens 3.0TDI FMIC | GFB DV+
Retrofit: FL rear bumper | L+R exhaust | FL LEDs rear | PDC/backup camera
Awaiting install: 034 Motorsport HFC | Milltek downpipe | Powersprint resonator | Turbo Muffler Delete | Stage II

So if i have a b8 non sline rear bumper, can i fit the b8 s4 bumper without any mods?

I dont see why this wouldnt work... but has anyone done it? I really dont want to go with an aftermarket rear valance. I'd rather buy a b8 s4 bumper with oem valance already.

There are many threads on this and I did it. S-Line and S4 bumpers are the same and go on the exact same way as the non S-Line.

So the difference between S-line and S4 (referring to Facelift version) is just the diffuser or valance… or watever else they like to call it?

Would the reverse sensors connect the same also?

Yeah, same bumper, just a different style valance. Pre face lift S-Line and S4's have the same bumper covers front and rear, same goes for the face lift, they go hand in hand. The rear is a different valance on S-Line and S4's and the front is a difference grille, that's it.

Same bumper so the sensors would connect the same.

Thanks for clearing that up, Is it a big job?
I've always wondered, but i don't think ill justify spending that sort of money to replicate it.

But in saying that, the Non-s-line bumper is so boring :(

There's a few threads that show how to remove and install. It's easy.

You cannot use an S-line diffuser on a non-S-line rear bumper.
