    Trade Your S6/S7 for My Widebody AMG?

    After a 6 month battle with the wife, I've officially thrown in the towel. My first born is due in 30 days and my 2 door must be replaced with a 4 door.

    It's a long shot but is anyone on here interested in trading their S6 or s7 for my 2005 SL65 AMG Prior Design wide body build sprayed in Ferrari Grigio Silverstone? The car has 32k miles with 39months of Fidelity Platinum warranty remaining, $40k in cosmetic mods and an unmolested powertrain (conservative ecu/tcu and exhaust):

    Beeeeauuuutiful. That said, I think you'll have trouble getting one for a trade unless it's a '12 just given the depreciation based on it being more than 10 years old (although loved way more than most cars). Good luck here, and if you can't get that done, I guess I'd try to private party it on some MB boards where people will fully appreciate all you put into it. A list of the mods might be good to include.

    Not saying your car is not beautiful but it's 11 years old and mods don't boost resale value so I don't think your car is worth enough to straight trade with with S6/S7.

    Agreed - that's some aggressive work on the body of that car and it looks surprisingly good to my eyes. What are the post-tune hp/tq numbers on that thing?

    Best bet here is to sell it on that other forum privately, then buy yourself the S6 or S7. If you stick with a 2013 you might make it out without spending any extra cash.
