Headlight Swap from C6 to C6.5

I drive an 07 A6, I wanting to retrofit my headlight to the oem 09-11 led headlight version. Ive read some forums with guys wanting or attempting to do it but did not report back. Has anyone successfully retrofitted their headlights? Are the connectors the same? Do I need some kind of a special module? Looking at photos they look exactly the same. I know I need to make sure I get ones with AFS. Im just buying the housing so can I use my ballasts and bulbs from my current headlights and plug them in to the new ones? Do I need to run an external power for the LEDs in the headlight?

The fact that this exists makes me think it's not plug and play. https://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/Audi/...it-Audi-A6-4F3

From my previous run ins to threads like this one on this subforum, yes it is possible, but it is not PnP. At minimum you would need to get a Kufatec wiring harness to accommodate the additional power delivery requirement for the LED DRL. There are like a half dozen other threads about this same exact thing here, most with no much info unfortunately.

There's the Kufatec harness for the easier way to do it. (but costlier) Then there is the manual way that requires you figure out some stuff on your own with a multimeter and a custom wiring job.

You'll find that modding an A6 is not going to be cheap. First, there aren't that many out there, second, even less modders, and third those that do mod A6s are less likely to be posting a DIY on how to get it 'on the cheap'. Many will just pony up for the premade harness and parts.
