The large aluminum block thing, looks like an expansion chamber under the exhaust manifold bolted to the block... Can I remove this thing with the Apikol side mount intercooler? What are people using to block it off, it has a three-way connection between the tip and the intercooler hose. I'd like to find a to a plastic piece instead of a three way, is there one? I could try and plug it, but with what?

Remove it and simply plug the hose with a piece of 3/4" dowel rod and a hose clamp. Mine has been that way for years.

Edit: I should probably add that I made a small bracket that is screwed into the dowel plug on one end and bolted to the block on the other end with one of the bolts that held the Helmholtz resonator in place. That way the boost hose is still being supported the same way it was with the resonator in place.
