What mods do you have that requires a splitter valve? Rule of thumb is in 99% of setups a oem/n710 recirculate valve is best.

The issue with almost all BOVs on these cars is the air diverted back into the intake is accounted for by the MAF, and if that air gets vented to atmosphere it doesn't get monitored. There are also some BOVs that stay open under vacuum, which make these cars idle rough. Since the one you got is a mix of both, it wont be as bad, but not as good as a true DV. If you want to here a pssshh noise when you let off the throttle a cone filter or air box mod will usually check that box

Also 50 bucks for a forge valve?? Seems way way low unless they fell off the back of a truck.

This is a cheap build. I wont be owning this car for much longer. I just want to play with it a little. My friend wrecked his jetta, I am getting alot of good parts for cheap. However I already have a rebuild kit for the head and new timing belt which will be doing this summer. The winter is now hitting us in northern ny just been very cold. I have my 3rd gen eclipse in the garage right now replacing the clutch, doing the timing belt, full brakes all around and some performance parts going into it to drive for the summer then the audi will be in its place. I am not sure whether I will be keeping the audi for next winter, Its a decent car its just more expensive to own then I thought. Been having electrical problems, suspension, oil leaks everywhere and boost leaks up the ass. The only motivation on this project is the body is fairly clean, minor rust on the undercarriage, runs like a clock. If I do keep this project the motor and trans will be pulled, rebuilt and re sealed (the oil leaks are a major headache) then full suspension refresh. Then I will beginning to upgrade. Next week, it is going to be tuned to stage 1 for minor gain. Its a commuter for right now with a 105 mile round trip. Thanks for the tips guys

If I do not keep the audi I will be purchasing a WRX to replace it. Im more of a Subaru and DSM fan myself
