Clicking/Knocking in reverse under load

Hey all, my car started making a clicking/Knocking noise in reverse backing up a hill. I can also get it to make the sound if I hold the brakes and still let it roll. It had to roll and is really quite. What should I check? I check the transmounts. I'm reading stuff that says cv but why is only doing it in reverse while straight under load. Also, it sounds like it is coming from the center of the car. TIA
