    ok here goes.
Recently had some misfire issues, threw P0300, so went ahead and did a full tune up on the car. New plugs (PRF6Q, gaped at.024), all new coil packs, oil, of and af. After that the car ran great, no issues going into boost, would peak nicely at 17 psi whenever needed. Three days ago I was driving home from work behind some slower individuals, made sure the car was up to temperature, threw it into 3rd and went for it. Only boosted to 12psi and was holding strong there, shifted into 4th then heard a small pop. Car immediately acted as if it was misfiring again, checked my review and behind me was the thickest trail of white/gray smoke. I limped my way home with cars avoiding being behind me due to my new lovely tail. Scanned the car with my VAG COM tool and it had 3 miss fire codes, all for cylinders 1, 2, & 3. From there I swapped the ICM's, cleared the codes and checked the Live Data and it still showed the same three misfiring. let the car idle some more and had two new codes pop up.

    P0134 B1 S1 Oxygen sensor no activity
P0139 B1 S2 Oxygen Sensor Response too slow

Car was still misfiring and still spitting out the latest cause of global warming. Shut it all down last night after getting my Live Data recorded and saved. After extensive searching on here I went back out to start checking things out, I noticed that there is a nice little ring of oil sitting under my exhaust tip with a drip of oil sitting waiting to fall. Checked my spark plugs, for Bank 1 and all look fine, (will be grabbing an inspection camera from work on Monday), also checked my Coolant Reservoir and it is about 2 inches low, and my oil dip stick is dry.

I've spent about 2 hrs searching on here to see if anyone has had the same issue, and have not had any luck. All day I have been hoping it is going to be simple sensor but now after all of my searches and the status of my car, I fear I will be tearing the heads off soon.

    Advice?

    Not good man

But this perfectly normal for b5s4 to do this, just its way of telling you it wants to go faster
Time for f21's and lots of

What better time to build motor and upgrade than now. When i read you burned some coolant and oil, game over. Back to the drawing board.

My guess is the motor is just fine and he popped B1 turbo.
Not sure how far it was driven afterward, but oil will pump into the ex so hopefully it didnt run completely dry.

Common for coolant level to drop when hot/pressurized. Can release psi and see if it comes back up.
If it is a drastic drop and comes back up, could have a hose going south. Usually its the ones by the oil cooler, oil and power steer fluid leaks wreak havoc on them.

So if I want to confirm it is the turbo that blew I just basically need to physically get to it right?

Car was driven about 2-3 miles after the incident. I'll drain the oil today and check that condition.

Did you hear any horrible metal on metal dentist drill like sounds leading up to this?

I guess the best thing to do would be to take the dp off and give it a wiggle and maybe pull that intercooler hose to see how many quarts of oil come out lol. The last 2.7t I saw with a blown turbo also had pieces of compressor stuck in the intercooler.

I guess if you really wanted to see you could stick a boroscope down the inlet.

But I'd start turbo shopping lol

There was a slight whine I heard around the 7-10 in hg mark on the boost gauge, this is all after the fact. But leading up to this no I didn't hear the dentist drill before.
I'll get some access to the turbo and inspect the damage.
Yea after this I guess it's a matter of what to turbos to replace with. Oh the choices!

Well and that's also something I've been considering.
If my theory behind this is askew, please friends, feel free to correct me.
If I am misfiring on bank 1, only bank 1, the bank 1 O2 sensors show no activity or responding too slow, and I have the smoke out the exhaust that has the signs of burning water and oil. Would it make sense that the head gasket for bank 1 just have horribly failed, allowing the coolant and oil into the cylinders causing the flame to snuff out and not have a proper combustion process in 1 2 and 3?
The primary function of a turbo would be to take the combustion gasses and compress the intake air to force more air into the engine and generate more power. Only fouling the ignition process if the plugs aren't gapped correctly. Since all 6 plugs are gapped exactly the same wouldn't this be happening in all cylinders?
So wouldn't it make sense on a 165k vehicle that it would be the head gaskets? Both turbos were replaced by the PO at the 100k mark.

Your o2's are jacked from the turbo dumping oil on them and that bank cant fuel correctly.
You said plugs looked good. Bad hg will make plugs all crusty in a hurry if crap is going through the chamber.

Take the dp off an you will prob find the turbine broken off and laying in the housing.

so i just completed the compression test and my results are as follows

    Cyl 3 - 170 Cyl 6 - 170
    Cyl 2 - 165 Cyl 5 - 170
    Cyl 1 - 170 Cyl 4 - 170

now, Zillarob i will be removing my DP to confirm what you are suspecting is the issue, and that will be as soon as i can get my buddy's jack to help lift my car up higher.

at least its now the head gasket...

You gonna end up pulling the engine. Might as well get it started so you can get those snails out.
