    P0016 Cam Crank Correlation Issue

Found a nice '05 B7 6MT for my girlfriend that needed an engine. Put an engine in it that had 90K on it. Started right up and runs well but it keeps throwing a P0016 (VCDS 000022) for incorrect correlation between the camshaft (G40) and crankshaft (G28) sensors.

    Monitored blocks measuring blocks 91 & 93.

Noticed on MVB 91 that the cam adjustment was out of spec by 18°KW, spec is 28° and actual was at 46°.

Also noticed in MVB 93 that no value was displayed for phase position (which I believe is because the cam & crank are so far out of phase)

The thing that has me wondering is if they were actually that far out wouldn't it be running like crap, have noise or worse yet the valves hitting the pistons?

Is there an adaption that needs to be performed?

What happens when you are slightly off idle (say 950 rpm)
