My new (to me) 05.5 2.0T quattro just received new coils and plugs.
I used the red 06E coils and NGK BKR7EIX.
The "old" coils were 06H and plugs were factory Audi/VW.
On the first drive I thought there was a bit more smoothness but still had the typical "diesel" roughness at idle.
With nearly 60k the plugs didn't look too bad. I'm guessing they were the original ones.
What I'm planning on definitely doing next is getting the repair kit for all the coil connectors.
Every connector had cracks.
At the end of the day I probably didn't need to change out the coils or plugs but since both are relatively inexpensive I figure it couldn't hurt and the red coil color makes the car faster!
