A simple car wrap turned to this...

Hi guys! This is my first post in the forum, so I apologize in advance if it's in the wrong section. So I recently picked up a 2016 audi s4, absolutely loved the car. Slapped a rs4 mesh grille on the front and i decided to do something about the Chrome trim bc i don't have the black optics package. So I decided to get it wrapped at a local shop, I'll upload pics below. Long story short, went to go pick up the car, turns out the guy ended up scratching it, as he was putting the panel back in, I was super pissed, but I was calm about it. The owner of the shop (he did the job himself) felt horrible. Turns out he has a B6 S4 so I know this hit him right in the feels. He ended up doing the job for free...around $500 bucks, and he's paying for the scratch to be fixed, which is going to be around $1500 Canadian. My car is going into the shop next Monday and I'll hopefully get it back by Thursday! Praying that everything goes as planned, fingers crossed

That sucks but it is awesome that the owner is a stand-up guy. Exactly what I'd do for a customer in this situation. Hope your ride gets fixed to as-new condition. The wrap does look good!

    Cheers,

I'd take the $1,500 in cash and have a quality detail or PDA shop repair that. Easy fix really. Fill the scratch in with touch up, wet sand/level by hand and then two-step it with mild compound and polish. You'll never see it. Way better than spraying the whole panel.

Here's an example of what the above looks. This guy is located in Windsor Ontario. He can fix you up.

Yes I got them wrapped carbon fibre, and he put a little red accent in between if you can see it! Looks really good I would recommend it, unless you went with the actual carbon fibre mirror caps but those are obviously a little pricier!

Shit happens. Fortunately, in your case, the perpetrator, was a stand up guy and will make it right. He will probably turn it in to his insurance co. Consider yourself lucky.
