    Faults - misfires

A friend was teaching his son to drive stick on his '04 vert. His son stalled it and it wouldn't start. I cleared the codes and was able to start it. Runs really rough like not all cylinders are firing.

Could this be a coil? And does it make sense that a coil would pop from stalling?

    Thanks!

Shit, didn't even think of that. Think he had the chain done, which I assume would include the guides. Will find out. Unfortunately, it makes more sense than a coil blowing from stalling.

Would there likely be chain rattle before failure?

Get the engine running at idle and look at measuring value blocks 15-16-17. That way we can see which cylinders are misfiring. There are fault codes for cylinder 1-3 and camshaft over-advanced for bank 1. It would also be good to go into measuring value block 94 as well.

I would be looking at a vacuum leak or a camshaft adjuster issue.

Cool. Thank you! To measure a block, would I just go into the screen below and enter the block numbers in the far left field? Haven't done this before.
