    Exclamation Fuel Door Locked. Suggestions?

I have a 2001.5 B5 S4 and from what I've gathered the central locking pump has gone bad. I have been unlocking the drivers door with the key and just recently realized while attempting to fuel up that the fuel door is in the locked position. I've attempted to locate a manual over ride for unlocking the fuel door. My search in the trunk has uncovered nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I have not done this or even looked at how the hoses are run. This is just an idea:
Gain access to the vac hose from the trunk where the pump is. Place a vac pump on the line going to the fuel door.

Pull back the carpet on the inside of the trunk where the fuel door is and find the locking rod and slide it back towards the rear of the car. Like you I found out the hard way when I went to fuel up one day and my central locking pump went out.

Sadly this happened to me before as well but had to access the trunk through the car to pop the trunk first. Pretty easy once you're in.

Pulled back all the carpet on the passenger side trunk but I don't see anywhere to access the fuel door. Is it possible to get a more detailed account on how you were able to access the fuel door locking rod?

this is the actuator you want to remove, you will probably just see the back of it where the air line goes in

Once I pulled the actuator I was able to open the fuel door. I didn't realize that the actuator acts as the pin the keep the fuel door "locked". Thank you for all your help everyone. I greatly appreciate it. :D
