    Black Mark on Seat

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So it looks like a belt or something left a black mark on my red drivers side seat bolster. I tried rubbing it off with some lexol and got some out. I noticed that a very tiny bit of red was getting on the terry cloth so i stopped. Any idea why the color comes off like that (never seen it before on a car with leather seats.) Also any recommendations for getting the mark out?

    Thanks!

Have you tried an eraser? Some marks can be removed with an eraser, but naturally you don't want to be too aggressive with it.

be really careful. The leather Audi dye does not do too well with excessive rubbing. I have had a lot of luck getting rid of stains using Adam's Leather cleaner. But even with that you cannot apply too much pressure.

Worse case scenario, you could try what was done in this thread.

After seeing the results, I have to believe that any seat can be fixed regardless of how badly damaged.
