Has anybody had success with this? I don't see any option to release the rear parking brake with the app. I can find a menu item for that. Do I have the wrong version?

There are teo extensive threads on here about Carista, read up. One in the A4 and one in the S4 sections. You have to email them for beta.

It works, several have used it.

You still need to compress the calipers with a clamp once you release them.
