Curious to see that no one spoke about this option yet ( or i havent seeen it!). IMO it appears to be a better design for 2 reasons, it's a 2 piece construction instead of 1 piece from the different manufacter billet option and second, it's poly so theres little added noise to the cabin

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A4-B8...-/381412161289

+ its about the same price as the other option.

We haven't had any issues with NVH transmission from our Billet Aluminum Transmission Mount Insert, and these polyurethane inserts will pack/wear and become ineffective over time. We don't use polyurethane for applications like this, as it's prone to deteriorating with use much faster than rubber or aluminum.

Hope that helps you make a decision!

Now, I don't want to play cat and mouse, but I've been told directly that the billet mount transmitted NVH and this was also talked a bit in the thread from the latest offering by ECS's mount. Maybe those poly wear too quickly, it's possible. I don't know.

Thanks for coming by tho ! I'm very much following your ecu tuning developement as I feel your offering will be the best :)

Just to clarify, the few reports we've had of differential whine transmission have been with a select few cars with the Sport Differential and our Rear Differential Carrier Inserts installed. I honestly can't remember a single instance of the Transmssion Mount Insert resulting in increased NVH in the cabin. It leaves a minimal air gap to prevent any contact at cruise and light load.

Thank you for the kind words! We're hard at work on both Stage 2 and DSG Software.

now that i think about it, it is, in fact, the diff carrier, not the tranny mount ! Keep up the good work, very looking forward to the big announcement. Hopefully for us, a nice intro group buy like EPL did ! :)

034 Tranny mount installed. No NVH whatsoever. I also agree that I wouldn't use poly here no matter what. That stuff will just waste away, where it is.

Oh, and what a difference! It's really great. Need to do the rear diff now LOL.

I understand what your saying guys, but this wasn't a discussion about which product should i buy, but rather one about the second piece that goes under the mount Vs. the solid billet piece. Anyone have thought on rather it should provide more ''support'' to the mount or not ? powerflex, along with energy are well known for their mount so i doubt they would produce a bad quality/useless unit.

The only way you would get additional NVH from the 034 inserts,If they were over tightened, helps if you ad a "small" amount of LITHIUM grease upon install, this will help the insert side in easier and get a more accurate torque reading due to less binding/friction.
I have installed carrier, diff and tranny inserts this way in 4 cars with 0 complaints about any additional NVH.
    Hope this helps!

I think the powerflex mount is doing it right. Polyurethane is stiffer and less prone to cracking. I'm waiting to see what ECS comes out with. I would run the powerflex without the 034 insert v
