I know a vendor who has Spec clutches, but after SEARCHING (yes, I Already searched a bunch on forums) the reviews were kind of mixed, mainly people saying it makes a lot of noise even after driving it 1000 miles.
My other option is to go with the RA4 clutch from ECS here
https://www.ecstuning.com/News/ES1591/ES5485/, I like the idea of having an OEM as well, anyone have been driving this exact clutch on there B5 and have anything to say about it ? and what kind of tune you're running.
I plan on changing it next week, so any comments or suggestions are helpful!
I have a friend running a spec stg2 on a frankin turbo car holds power fine and ran it with apr 2 for 20k before that no problems. that being said I have hear mix reviews on them too.
If you really did search you should have seen lots of posts about the
RA4 clutch from ECS as redline talks about it in almost every clutch thread i'm sure he will chime in?!
I dont love ecs tuning but the
RA4 clutch from ECS has had good reviews in many B5 and B6 cars and will hold power no problem.
A good "OEM feel" replacement is the Valeo HD Clutch with single mass flywheel. even with low TQ /HP specs many have ran tunned and franken turbo cars on this set up
I run a CM fx400 6 puck that would be over kill for you and is no fun in traffic but im sure there other clutchs are better for DD. CM has been known for short life span, many say they go in 50k or less.
