I have a 2011 S5.
I have a rattling, crumpling sound coming from the rear that I have been trying to fix for over a year. Car is under warranty.
Dealer changed out trunk bumpers and that seemed to take care of it for a while (I was surprised that was the issue), but the noise came back. The noise sounds like you are gently crumpling a soda can and occurs at low speed. It does not increase as you go faster which seemed to rule out suspension or exhaust.
Anyway, the dealer just called me and said my control arms are making noise and they will replace. I told them I have SPC aftermarket ones in the front and the adviser said "I think they are replacing the bushings on the rear ones"
Do these cars have rear control arms?
Any comments on the crumpling rattling would be appreciated as well.
