DESPERATE to replace my Carbon Trim Piece! (Dashboard)

My carbon dashboard trim cracked. It's killing me with my OCD, but for the love of god I can't find it anywhere for less than $500.

I can find Q5 or SQ5 trim - is it the same as A4/S4 for the dashboard? ECS has it for $285 but they neglected to tell me until after I placed my order that it was on backorder with no ETA.


So I cancelled it.

Official AUDi S4 Part: 8K1853190L7V7
Audi Q5/SQ5 Part: 8R1853190AD7V7

Really want to find this part... any suggestions welcome.

I would contact Alex @ europrice. He will hook you up with a new piece, he'll also know if the q5 one is interchangeable.

You'd have to talk to Audi about their pricing. All genuine items are priced solely on supply cost and Audi sometimes seemingly randomly picks and chooses pricing. When they have something underpriced relative to other similar items and it starts to get purchased in higher quantities they always recognize this and raise the pricing.

I'd suggest contacting Shokan Used Audi Parts. Shokan's home page has an online form to inquire about the availability of used parts. They are an Audi-only wrecking yard and have over 1000 cars, every one an Audi. They purchase hundreds of Audis for dismantling every year, and may have the trim part you're seeking.

Another Audi/VW recycler is Force 5 Automotive (link to site) in Concord New Hampshire.

Let us know if you find that carbon piece!
