I'm getting an S7! Anything to be aware of or look out for?

I have a b5 stage 3 s4 and I had a v8 s5. I sold my s5 for a v10 e60 m5. POS e60 m5 in shop once a month so it's time to say goodbye.

I plan on a s7 before the refresh. I want a higher mileage one almost out of warranty to modify. I want APR ECU tune and eventually want rs7 turbos and ecu tune. Is there a year that I should avoid? Any particular problems that I should look out for? Anything I should while under warranty?

And if you have time, could you give me insight on the following:

1. What "links" or what should I do to lower the car to 1 finger gap?
2. What size spacers?
3. Is the APR transmission tune worth it?
4. What's a non drone-y exhaust? I had a miltek non-resonating exhaust on my s5 and loved it.
5. How do you get rid of the amber side markers on bumper? Paint them or someone sells body colored replacements?
6. Any other mods that I should do??

Thanks. I'm happy to go back to Audi. I'm done with BMW.

Watch out for:

- Thumbs up from other enthusiasts
- A permanent grin with the Stage 1 reflash, leading to cheek muscle fatigue
- Girls complimenting your seats, saying they look like a "Chanel" purse
- The frowns of disappointment from other drivers of what they "think "are sports cars, after you blow them out of the water

5. TAG sells body colored inserts for the front amber and back red side markers.

6. Get a VAG cable. See the VCDS thread for all the things you will want to do with it. You'll need it to turn the lights off behind your new body color side markers anyway.

I don't have the tranny tune, but will strongly consider it next time I get my car flashed after service. From what I've seen, it seems like 75% of the feedback has been that it's a SIGNIFICANT difference and well worth the added cost. The other 25% seemed like it was noticeable, but not a huge difference. I feel like I have enough frustrations with the tranny that the upgrade will be worth it.
