I went directly to Stage II pulley, engine, and transmission tune, three months after owning my '15 S4. My initial impressions were that I really wasn't hugely impressed, but it could have been I still owned my '14 GT-R then, and that's a hard benchmark to follow. To be fair, the car was faster, but not the knock me back me my seat, "Oh, crap!", faster. Now, months later, I would say the performance gains are noticeable depending upon the driving situation. Sometimes I'll take off (rarely, if ever, launched, so mostly from a roll) and I'll think, "Hmm, doesn't seem very fast". Other times, I guess I'll hit it just right, and I'll think, "Ooookaay, that's more like it!". I hope to hang on to my S4 for another year or two before selling it, or at least that amount of time before getting another vehicle to be my toy, another monster like the GT-R. I've gone through a lot of very high performance vehicles in the last few years, so I tend to get bored with a vehicle fairly quickly (months to a year or so). Usually it is because I've finished fixing it up/modifying it, to my personal liking, and am ready to move on to something else, or the performance of a vehicle just doesn't do it for me anymore. It's an awful (and expensive) hobby.
