Give me your advice on my 11 fault codes! :D

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Finally got a vagcom cable today and after fiddling with software for an hour, finally got VCDS to work! I was expecting a few codes for my rear 02s.. but boy was I wrong! I found 10 (plus one for my trans!)!! Thankfully none seem serious, but are quite trivial codes and would like some insight from you all! Yes, I was smart and copied the direct reading from vagcom too so here ya go!

All except the BOLDED codes are ones I need info on and possible causes. Thanks!

Cleared codes. Drove car. Came back with only codes for rear 02s. Wtf?? Maybe the car hasn't been vagcom code cleared since it had head gaskets done a year ago..

You have to decipher what are stored codes
and what are active codes. If you cleared the
codes and drove her for a bit and only the 02
codes came back then your secondary 02's just
took a shit hence the open circuit. You can also
check 02 voltages, MAF values ETC through VAG-COM
    to verify.

I'd just have the o2 sensors coded out, that's what I did. I'd just sit tight and see what comes back before trying to dig into the rest of the codes for now.

I'm having my tune reflashed tomorrow to get the rear 02s properly coded out now and to fix the ABS and ESP lights that are always on when running the tune. Pray I be code free for once haha

That could be something as simple as a wheel speed sensor.

You can also log wheel speed sensors in Vag-com, only question is I don't know which measuring blocks those are. This can show you if there's a sensor that's not reading correctly.

Yup that would be the way of diagnosing it. I don't remember which blocks. Doesn't look like the OP has the full version of vagcom so he might be out of luck there.

The measuring block should be group 001 if you go into modules, ABS, then measuring blocks. But you have to drive slowly since vag-com won't read it above a certain speed. That's what I found doing some research, I'm going to check it out on my way home from the office.

    That sounds right.

OP if your version doesn't work you could come over in a couple weeks when I have my rosstech cable back from a friend.

Alright, so this is what it looks like on my xtool 401 when I logged mine last night using the ABS measuring block 001. It's reading my ABS module as an Allroad, is this right? Also, I don't know if anyone can tell me what's up with the readings jumping around a bit. I've noticed the car is not as quick at WOT when ESP is on (I always turn it off anyway).

I scanned it again this morning with the TUNE IN, and there is a code for an incorrectly tuned ECM. It isnt a wheel sensor since it only comes on with the tune in. Sadly it turns out I'm retarded and bought the wrong cable for remote reflashing so I have to return this one and buy the other.. oops.
