Vacuum pump and cam followers oil leaks?

So I took my 2010 a4 2.0t in for the first stage of the oil consumption test. Get a call today saying they've found an oil leak at the vacuum pump and the cam follower. They want $1100 to repair it BEFORE they'll even start the oil consumption tests.

Are they just trying to get some money out of me? I've been under my car recently and haven't seen any oil leaks, and there are no spots on the driveway where I park. I thought about giving AoA a call about it as well... Any advice guys?

I changed the vacuum pump on my wife's 2007 a4 2.0TFSI,if you look around backside of motor passenger side at top of transmission if it looks wet with oil then yes you have a leak.I also changed out the HPFP and cam follower as well.If you have tools both can be changed out.I think for the vacuum pump cost was about $225 and the HPFP and cam follower was about $250.I would purchase a Bentley manual if you want to do the work yourself from ESC.As for the parts I would pick them up from Europa as they were very reasonable for OEM parts. If you do the HPFP and cam follower make sure to relieve the fuel pressure first.
