So today, I had a dumb moment (happens to the best of us)...I went to put my car in reverse and started to let off the clutch and I stalled. Started the car back up with it still in reverse let of the clutch for attempt number 2...stalled again. I was like WTF, thought maybe I was stuck in some snow. Started it again, attempt number 3, almost stalled again but before that a long beep came on and the DIS said to disengage my parking brake or something along those lines. For sure, I looked down, the ebrake was on. Shoot my head in stupidity for a few seconds, released the brake and off I was. Well went into the car again about 4 hours later, this time I made sure the ebrake was off, put it into reverse, rather than the normal beep and lowing of the radio and the cam coming on in the MMI, I get that louder longer beep, then a delay then the MMI changes to the cam. Any ideas? No warning on the DIS when putting it into reverse just that longer beep rather than the normal short beep.

Your probably all good and everything will be normal again tomorrow. I've had long beeps, short beeps, and it usually resets by itself..... and the slow MMI might just have been delayed due to extreme cold.

FYI that the EBrake will automatically release if you had your seat belt on.

I had a very dumb moment too..good idea for a thread. Anyway after driving through the multiple snow storms we got in Ma last year I used a hose to clean out the under carriage and wheel wells. It was so cold outside that my steering froze and it was like driving with no power steering x10. I panicked and thought driving would loosen it up but I couldnt have been more wrong. I parked it in a garage at work, let it sit for about 5 minutes and it was all better.
I'm guessing it was something electronic that got jammed up but I freaked myself out since the car had less than 5k on it. Without a doubt a worse idea to continue driving it but thankfully nothing bad happened..
