    I am beyond excited to take delivery of a 2014 RS 7 this weekend! I have been lurking and occasionally posting these past few months and am excited to finely be a member of the C7 community.

    Congratulations! Looking forward to the pictures. Suzuka Gray is probably my favorite color on the RS7, but I may be biased as that was the color of the first one I drove with an APR tune. It just looks really good in all sorts of different lighting.

    Please let us know how you like it compared to your BMW once you've put a few miles on it...

    I'm also curious about what appears to have been a less-than-perfect experience with your Jeep SRT?

    The BMW has been a great car, no reliability issues. But it lacks the dynamic edge my previous S or RS Audis have had. Not to mention I feel that BMW overestimates the power and performance on that car, my buddies S6 feels significantly quicker without a doubt.

    The jeep was an absolute mess. Put an order in the day after it was released at the Detroit international auto show. Had one of the first 2014's out. At 1000 miles there was a whistling sound at 60 to 70 mph, they had to replace the rear halfshaft. At 4500 miles it would not shift from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd under aggressive throttle. It would tap the Revlimiter and go into kill mode. After numerous trips to the dealership for reprogramming and inspection they had to replace the entire ZF transmission. odd because I know it's a very similar unit that's used in these Audis and many other performance cars. Next up, rear suspension issues, and then the loss of my infotainment system for days. In the 10 months of ownership, it spent 76 days in the shop. After a lot of back-and-forth and getting an attorney involved they bought it back for me via lemon law- less the 4500 miles of initial use. I typically never go the legal route quickly for any matter but a brand-new car of that cost should not have so many power train issues in the first few thousand miles. So glad it's over!!!

    Also- so excited to pick her up tomorrow and take her for that first drive! I am slightly concerned after reading a handful of maintenance related posts about mileage for first brake job. I hope I don't pick the car up and have to hunker down a chunk of cash to get new rotors in the next few thousand miles. It currently sits at 18 K. That's the scary thing about preowned… You never know what the last driver was like.

    New model teething problems are common, so not really that surprising, but obviously still frustrating. Glad you were able to get out of it without getting hurt TOO bad...

    I test-drove an JGC SRT and really didn't like much of anything about it, despite having gone into the test-drive with high hopes. All I could think while driving it was "no way this thing is worth mid-$70Ks", and "I'd MUCH rather have an SQ5 for $5-10K less"!

    Well I picked her up on Saturday! What a car, it is more than I ever expected. I'm owned a handful of S cars and an old RS 6 but nothing compares to this beast. I feel like pinching myself when I walk down to the garage, it's unreal. Weather in Chicago has been nasty so it's been staying put since Saturday night but I'll get some pictures posted soon! This car makes me fear points on my drivers license....

    my mate has just purchased the same - 2014 Suzuka Grey RS7 - will have to get him to join up / post - he picks his up Friday, just having a inbuilt radar detector added :)
