    Fuel Pump

So my fuel pump has decided to crap out on me and needed some guidance on where to go next. I do plan to eventually go stage III but I am currently stage II with APR tune, downpipes, 3" single exhaust and coil pack conversion. I would rather only do the fuel pump once so what would work well with stage II and be sufficient enough for stage III? Also, should I do the injectors at this time?

    TIA,
    Dan

You shouldn't do your injectors and drive on it without retuning.

As for fuel pumps, I've heard Bosch 044 will do you well for stage 3

You can get the the walbro 450 pump cheaper online. And re-use your OEM basket with just a few O-rings.

That's what I did with my walbro gss340 in my A4. I jammed some AC delco sock on there too

Thanks dude! I am going this route, how long did it take you to get the pump after you ordered it?

Go with Bosch 044 or Walbro 450. Those seem to be the most common. I'm running the Walbro 450 in my stage 3. Ordered the kit from SRM and I can't remember how long it took to arrive; I want to say about a week. It also comes with a bracket so that you can mount it right into the stock basket.

Can't go wrong with the 044, tried and true.

034 said the AEM 0ump they offer is a good replacement for a stock basket, I think they said it's good to stage 3 and that's it (no e85 or k24's) but best to call and confirm that because it was awhile ago I asked them. Currently I have a 044, it increased my fuel economy about 20-30%, don't know why, but I like it.

Bosch 044 with 034 basket if you don't want to fab your own up. Tried and true.

It's also slightly easier to hear operating, which is helpful when you're trying to diagnose any issues. Btw, I bought mine on amazon... solid value.

How does it sound with the CNC'd basket? I have the Audi v8 basket and it sounds like a tire with a pinhole leak from the outside, no mechanical noises

I've got the 034 bracket as well - I'm sure it sounds the same, slight hissing noise. Fuel pump sounds like a fuel pump.

I run a Stealth 340 but will be going with one of the new brush-less style pumps with a digital controller. It will be the future for big power, big injector e85 builds. Companies that support this platform like SRM already have moved in this directions.

Yeah this is correct. No different sounds with the bracket, but the 044 emits a very soft hissing type noise. I don't have the loudest exhaust, but I can only hear it from idle to maybe 2k rpm.
