    Kill the rattle!!!

So i am getting sick and tired of all the cabin rattles with subs, and I've searched the forum and found a few culprits but has anyone with aftermarket subs been successful in finding all of the noisemakers and silencing them? It's not that I'm blaring anything with absurd bass, there seems to be a different noise for everything I listen to coming from a different place. Config is a dual 10" ported box rear facing mounted right up to the rear seat backs in the truck. Any input would be awesome before I say to hell with it and rip the subs outl. Thanks guys

I have stock sound system but I still get rattles from the panel where the sunroof controls are. That seems to be very common and a lot of people open it up and add a piece of foam with double sided tape up there (DIY somewhere). Not sure where else you're getting rattling.

I cant remember which car show it was but they joked about driving a VAG product after the factory and stating that the engineers would add a rattle to the car if none was found during the test drive

Where are your worst rattles coming from? I run a 10" sub, albeit in a sealed enclosure and the sub does not produce too many noticeable rattles. I added some deadener behind where it is located though (mine sits in the cubby on the left side of the trunk). Mid bass in the doors do create some rattles, but I think its just stuff in the door pockets rattling. The rattles are definitely worse in the cold though.

Its been in the 20s lately but looking at single digits next week and its deff worse in the cold, my main rattles are rear view mirror, around the sunroof, and something behind the back seat

Try what supple suggested around the sunroof controls, pretty quick and easy way and may cure those rattles. For the ones behind the back seat I would bet it being something on the back deck, try playing some music that causes the rattles and then just putting your hand on various pieces on top of and beneath the rear deck. Hopefully that gets you to the point you can find what is rattling back there and at that point can look into options to stop it rattling.

Very interested in doing this as well because I am also getting the dreaded rattling from that same location. Having a hard time tracking down a DIY -- found a few for older generations though.

    Have you tried country music?
Seems to have worked in "Mars Attacks".
