    Question Clean intake flaps?

Hey guys, random question what do you need to remove the intake manifold to get to the intake flaps?

I ask because this weekend I will be replacing my intake manifold runner motor because I am getting an error code about my intake flaps sticking and they probably are after so many years of grease, grim, etc. But after removing my intake manifold motor, will I have direct access to my intake flaps or is more disassembly required? I think no and under my intake manifold runner is my throttle body (no?) but recently I've become confused how all those things fit together in this area so I am not sure anymore....

Can anyone help explain how these fit together? I intend to just use carb spray on my intake flaps and then use a lint free cloth to wipe away all the dirt/grease/grim.

Do you guys think spraying carb spray into the intake manifold while the car is running (and revving it) would clean them up at all or make them less sticky?

well, look how hard this carbon stick .

(note that guy's using flat screw driver and cleaner. Might be not the best idea to go strong like that, but it shows how it can be sticky)
