4.2 Allroad CV axles

Hi guys,

About to swap out the CV axle shafts on my 03 4.2 allroad as she has begun to develop a vibration under acceleration (particularly at the highest settings) I have every intention of ordering a new set but right now I have access to a 2.7t that's being wrecked and I was wondering if they are the same? we are about to move house (in under a week) and the allroad will be required to pull double duty as both moving van and child carrier over some pretty treacherous roads so I would like to fix the problem in the short term if possible and will focus on a more comprehensive overhaul once we are settled in.

any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

the internal joint is different and the driveshafts might be different. Generally its a no go.

roger that, thanks for the info. trying to source a new unit locally as it will be a week at least before I can get one from overseas
